Day 1: Perth to Lancelin

Arrive in Jurien Bay, known for its pristine beaches and thrilling sea lion tours. Book a snorkelling or sea lion encounter for an unforgettable adventure. Enjoy a picnic by the beach, take a sunset stroll, and settle in for the night at Jurien Bay Tourist Park.

 

Day 4: Jurien Bay to Geraldton

Drive Time:2 hours (approx. 155 km)

 Make your way to Geraldton, a vibrant coastal city with a mix of history, culture, and beach vibes. Explore the HMAS Sydney II Memorial and the Museum of Geraldton, or take a dip at one of the town’s lovely beaches. Geraldton has a variety of camping options but check out Sunset Beach Holiday Park right on the water 10mins from the town centre.

 

Day 5: Geraldton to Kalbarri

Drive Time:1.5 hours (approx. 155 km)

Head to Kalbarri, with time to stop at a few spots along the way. Detour to the stunning Hutt Lagoon (Pink Lake) for a few photos—its pink hue is amazing on sunny days! Continue to Kalbarri and settle in for a three-night stay at Tasman Holiday Park or any of the other Kalbarri holiday park options. Here you’ll explore the town and national park in depth.

 

Days 6-8: Exploring Kalbarri

Day 6: Kalbarri National Park

Spend your first day exploring the inland beauty of Kalbarri National Park. Start early at Nature’s Window and Z-Bend, two of the park’s most iconic spots with stunning lookout points over the gorges. After a picnic lunch, visit the new Skywalk for panoramic views. Head back to town for dinner and a restful night.

Day 7: Coastal Cliffs & Beaches

Dedicate your second day to the Kalbarri coastal cliffs, starting with Red Bluff and Pot Alley. Walk along the Mushroom Rock Nature Trail for incredible coastal scenery. In the afternoon, relax at Blue Holes, a top snorkelling spot. End the day with a sunset at Chinaman’s Beach.

Day 8: River Adventures & Local Fun

Enjoy the final day in Kalbarri with a kayak or paddleboard session on the Murchison River or a guided river cruise. On the way back, take a different route and stop in Dongara, a laid-back town with lovely beaches. Explore Port Denison Marina or stroll along the Dongara-Port Denison Heritage Trail. Overnight at Dongara Tourist Park and enjoy a peaceful evening.

 

Day 10: Dongara to Perth (via New Norcia)

Drive Time:** 3.5 hours (approx. 365 km)

For a unique final stop, detour inland to New Norcia, Australia’s only monastic town, founded by Benedictine monks in 1847. Take a tour to learn about its history and see beautiful Spanish-style architecture. Try locally made olive oil and bread from the monastery before returning to Perth in the evening.
